A friend recommended this book to me a few years ago - and I have been thankful ever since! Easy to follow, with easy to find ingredients, and every recipe so far has met with rave reviews from family and friends. I have alot of cookbooks, but this is the one that I use often, always with outstanding results, and recommend to friends that are interested in recipes that result in fresh, lively flavors with no more than 20 minutes or so of preparation!! REALLY GREAT BOOK!

Off the Eaten Path : Inspired Recipes for Adventurous Cooks Review

Off the Eaten Path : Inspired Recipes for Adventurous Cooks

I recently got to meet Bob at a book signing and had a chance to taste two recipes- the Shrimp on the Bar-B (grilled shrimp in a chipotle dry rub arranged around a Barbie doll) and grilled asparagus. Truly AWESOME food. I've had the chance to make some of the recipes in the book already and can't wait for the next opportunity to try one. Maybe some time this weekend I'll try cooking the lemongrass shrimp on the car engine. There aren't a lot of recipes in the book, but Bob tends to emphasize quality over quantity; all of the recipes are incredibly easy and unlike a lot of cookbooks out there that offer easy cooking but leave you wishing you had made reservations instead, the results are invariably as good or better than your local expensive restaurant.
By the way, in case you're wondering what a pressed-cheese sandwich is, it's just like a classic grilled cheese except that you cook it with your iron. If you want that know how and all kinds of other great information (like taking the luck out of a potluck party), Off the Eaten Path is waiting for you.

A Man, a Can, a Grill: 50 No-Sweat Meals You Can Fire Up Fast Review

A Man, a Can, a Grill: 50 No-Sweat Meals You Can Fire Up Fast
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This sturdy paperboard cookbook, presented by Men's Health magazine, is geared for guys who are novices at cooking and looking for easy meals to prepare on the grill. These 50 recipes, each of which is enhanced with ingredients out of cans, include beef, chicken, fish, pizza, pork, Spam, turkey, and veggies. Among the recipes are beer-can chicken, red-hot ribs, Dr Pepper-glazed ham, teriyaki turkey, and spuds on a stick.
The main ingredients and the finished product are illustrated with photographs. The book includes nutritional information, tips on the art of grilling, and a generous dollop of humor. Some of these recipes might be a little tricky for the novice cook to prepare, considering the unpredictability of a grill's flames and heat level, but there are still plenty of foolproof meals here beyond basic burgers and chicken that are great for feeding (and impressing) guests.

Dinner at Miss Lady's: Memories and Recipes from a Southern Childhood Review

Dinner at Miss Lady's: Memories and Recipes from a Southern Childhood

This was a book that placed you in that time & space of the old South. The Tennessee jam cake is a recipe that my family has been looking for, for over 40 years since my grandmother passed away without leaving the recipe. I want to read more books by Ms. Landon, and hopefully, she has written more about her family's experiences.
